  • A series of classes designed to be taken in any order that will take your DIY home maintenance to the next level. Class is two sessions, one and a half hours each session. Classes are held quarterly with two available at a time. Click on Tours/Classes to sign up!

    Home 101:

    Covers maintenance, the major systems in a house, monthly/quarterly/annual care to keep your new home and major appliances in top shape, filters and cleaning, and utilities.

    Home 102:

    Covers paint and coatings, touch ups to walls and floors, caulking for tubs, sinks, doors, and windows, patching drywall and what to expect inside New Orleans walls, and tips for unsticking painted-shut windows

    Home 103:

    Covers parts of the home plumbing system, special tools, water shut-offs, unclogging drains, slow drains, types of drain traps, drain cleaners and maintenance, fixing the most common types of sink drips, and replacing toilet flappers and fill valves.

    Home 104:

    Covers parts of the home electrical system, safety, special tools, test equipment, resetting breakers/GFCI, resetting garbage disposal, and replacing an existing switch, outlet, or light fixture.

  • Introduction to safety in the wood shop, plus hands on learning of the use of the most common tools used in a woodshop. Our instructors will make sure that you leave with the knowledge and confidence to tackle your next (or first!) carpentry project.     🔩 Brakes, Steering & Suspension – What keeps you safe and how to spot issues early.
    ❄️ Heating & A/C – Because no one likes being stuck in a car with no A/C in the summer.
